What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email and a hashed password. If you complete a student profile, we also collect your name, city, CA stage, domains of interest, expected stipend, remote-work preference, an optional bio, and an optional resume link. Firm profiles include a firm name, city, size, and an optional description and website. When you apply to a listing, we store the listing you applied to and any message you include. Not every firm profile is entered by the firm itself — see the next section for how a small number of listings are sourced instead.

Firm listings sourced from public information

To help students discover more firms while we reach out to them directly, some firm listings on Articul are created from publicly available information — the firm's own website or business directories — rather than being entered by the firm. Only three fields are ever sourced this way: firm name, city, and website. We never populate a listing like this with anyone's personal details (names, phone numbers, or emails of individuals).

These listings are clearly marked "Unclaimed" everywhere they appear, with a note that the information hasn't been verified by or affiliated with the firm. A firm can take ownership of its listing at any time through a private claim link we send it directly — once claimed, the firm controls the profile like any other registered firm on the platform.

How we use it

Your profile data is used to compute a match score between students and listings, and to display your profile to the other party once you apply to (or post) a listing. We don't sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or analytics cookies at this time.

Your choices

You can update or remove your profile information at any time from your dashboard. To request full account deletion, email us at the address below. If your firm has an unclaimed listing and you'd rather have it corrected or removed than claimed, email us at the same address.
